Dwelling in a Sukkah

First night in the Sukkah, and what better way to celebrate than also observing Shabbat.

The book of Vayikra (Leviticus) says, "You shall dwell in booths. For seven days, all the People of Israel must dwell in booths, so that future generations may know that I made Bnei Israel, the people of Israel, dwell in booths when they were in the desert.”

Sukkot 5784

It is the first night in the sukkah, and what better way to celebrate than also observing Shabbat?

The book of Vayikra (Leviticus) says:

"You shall dwell in booths. For seven days, all the People of Israel must dwell in booths, so that future generations may know that I made Bnei Israel, the people of Israel, dwell in booths when they were in the desert.”

Sukkot 5783

Kohelet, Ecclesiastes, is the Megilah we read in the Sukkot. It reminds us that there is a time for everything in life, while wondering about the very existence of human beings in the world.
